It is always a pleasure to comment on my chef, Laura Simon. The thought of the years that Laura worked for me and the delicious joy she brought to me, to my family and friends, always brings a smile to my face.
Laura Simon is a remarkable chef who cooked for me for seven years. During that time I sat down to delicious, nutritious, well presented meals, served with great enthusiasm. Laura was a joy to have in my home. She was always punctual, careful in her selection of foods (including produce) committed to serving well balanced healthy meals that met my dietary needs, neat and clean about the kitchen, and above all a pleasure to have in my home.
I am now leaving New York City, and taking with me many fond memories,most cherished among them are the memories of the special dinners and party times in home that were brought to my table by Laura Simon through her very special culinary talents.

Finding Laura's service and having her cook for me every week for nearly two years has been the best find I had. To have her expertise, she can cook anything you ask for, and gives great menu suggestions, has made my life easier. This service is turn-key, she does the shopping and even cleans up. The food is delicious and meets all my needs and expectations. Laura began cooking for us after I was diagnosed with wheat and dairy allergies. Laura helped make my new diet easy and even enjoyable to follow. Her recipes are always healthy and delicious. And she’s always coming up with new ideas so we never get bored. Laura is conscientious and courteous, and she always leaves the kitchen even cleaner than she found it. I love to cook and usually do my own for parties - while stressing out the entire time - but for 40 people it seemed overwhelming. Thank goodness for Laura! Her food was delicious. She was so fun and easy to work with. Best of all, having her handle everything left me free to enjoy my own party for the first time! I am never throwing a party without her again.

Laura is a very collaborative menu planner and adds lots of great surprises to the meal. She's the kind of person you want to invite to the dinner after she cooks it - just to hang out and talk. I always always adore having the best left overs in the world for the rest of the week. It makes throwing a dinner party very stress free.

Laura first came to our rescue for a special holiday dinner for family and friends. Our oven did not work and it was short notice, but no obstacle was too much for her. She used the oven in our neighbor’s apartment, vintage 1965, but at least working. She cooked, in two kitchens, and served a superb meal with grace and good humor. She was a complete joy to work with and have in our home. She returned a few years later for a party to celebrate the renovation of our kitchen. She is a cheerful, talented cook who we look forward to engaging again.
